I was quite stunned at how beautiful the place was, with many buildings in some of the towns and cities. Some of the pokemon that could talk were also nice, as well. Despite not fitting in, I gladly chatted to those who were wondering what I was. My tail wobbled a bit due to fear at times, but for the most part, I was in no danger. A few pikachus with these silly little pastel bows on their ears wanted to know where I had gotten my clothing from... which was a long story. I simply told them I got them from a far-away place, which kinda was the truth... After all, Neopia was a long way from the pokemon world. After a good hour or two chatting with the locals, I decided to head into the shops they had nearby. Most of them had a unique selection, and wern't in your face, which I liked. In neopia, every person was in your face, with flashy signs, and deals. But here? it was more laid back, and actually, better deals all around, from what I could tell. Purchasing a few things, I paid what I owed, and made my way out.
Down the street from the general pokemart I had browsed, was a nice looking pawn shop. Well, it was nice with the store front, at least. I wobbled my way onto the store, and took a look inside. Like most of the other shops I had visited, it seemed pretty local, and not commercial. I had already bought a few decorative Pokeballs, and my money was low, but It didn't hurt to look around. Besides, I could always get more money from exchanging money. But, from out of the corner of my eye, I spotted something that seemed to shine. It was a red gem, attached to a cheap looking necklace. Well, It looked cheap, but you never knew until you actually held it. But while that necklace was cheap, The gem certainly looked nice, with the light reflecting off of it like it was fiery. Well, it wasn't on fire, but it was nice looking, was what I was saying. Looking at the price tag, I made the choice of buying it, on a whim. It put a good dent in my budget, but it was fine, afterall, it would look very great around my neck! they put the necklace in a cheap box for transporting, and with that, I headed out.
It was approaching nighttime, and with that, meant the people I didn't want to interact with. I knew if I stayed out any longer, people were going to see meals on wheels... Well, dessert on wheels. I headed into a hotel, rented a room, and decided to rest for the night. While I normally have dreams during anxious days like these, I didn't have a single dream that I remembered that night. It probably was just me being tired. When I woke up, I hadn't even change out of my Royal robing! Sighing, I remade the bed and started to get ready to check out, but paused. Gazing at the necklace, I figured I could pawn off my old desert choker, and wear the necklace instead!
Taking off my old, worn and battered necklace, I slowly put on the new one, and Immediately started to regret it. Right off the bat, I lost all feeling in my feet and arms, as if I was stuck in the cold for a few hours. Then my eyes widened as they started to solidify, becoming a shinyish yellow. Now I knew why the gem was so nice looking; It was cursed! I yanked at the necklace, but to no avail as my hands betrayed me and started to move on their own accord. My zafara like body soon slimmed down to one of a buizel's. I was used to being morphed and such in Neopia, due to paint brushes and potions, but never, NEVER like this! I felt my tail split into two buizel tails as I lost feeling in them as well. Then the worst came when my face soon stretched and morphed into a Shiny buizel's face. No longer being able to move, I mentally yelled in shock. The Buizel then moved to the mirror, checking himself out. My Robes no longer fit, of course, but whatever it was, didn't seem to care. As it decided to take everything off, it kept one thing with it, besides the necklace.
I mentally cringed as it left all of my stuff in the room, sans my hat, and left. I pleaded to at least know who this buizel was, and I was answered by one word.
